ABOUT ME

My journey towards becoming a psychotherapist has been   life-long. I realised that I was interested in people whilst working for many years in a customer facing role for a high street bank. I found as I got to know people some would share aspects of their lives, such as problems they were experiencing, and I felt empathy and an instinct to help them.

This led me to exploring how people’s minds work further by doing a degree in psychology and to become a listening volunteer with Samaritans.

Whilst training to become a psychotherapist I have had placements at two counselling services in London and worked with a wide range of people and issues. In addition I did a year long placement within the NHS, facilitating group therapy for patients with personality disorders and complex needs.

I am a Registered member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I am a Certified Transactional Analyst (Psychotherapy) having trained at the Metanoia Institute in London and have an MSc and Diploma in Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy. I also hold a Diploma in Transactional Analysis Psychotherapeutic Counselling.

I am DBS checked and hold public liability insurance.
